The town Chanana which is situated area Teh. Chirawa in Jhunjhunu district is connected to more than hundred villages and all around upto 25 kilometers, there was no center of higher education. Taking the target of removing this scarcity, in july, 2003, Smt. Manbhari Devi (P.G.) College was started in Chanana and this college was got permission in fourteen subjects of arts stream by College Education Directorate, Jaipur; Govt. of Rajasthan and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar.
