Our History

This institution was founded by Sh. N.L. Nehra & Sh. R.P. Nehra of Chanana in 2003 as a Primary College to propagate Higher Education teaching among the children of Shekhawati region. The institution was doing most useful work in the educationally backward area of Shekhawati. The interest of the town was foremost in the mind of the founder and as such the institution was named after the town and not after the founder’s name or the community to which he belonged. This institution has also maintained non-political ideology or political party although it gives due respect to all.

The town Chanana which is situated area Teh. Chirawa in Jhunjhunu district is connected to more than hundred villages and all around upto 25 kilometers, there was no center of higher education. Taking the target of removing this scarcity, in july, 2003, Smt. Manbhari Devi (P.G.) College was started in Chanana and this college was got permission in fourteen subjects of arts stream by College Education Directorate, Jaipur; Govt. of Rajasthan and University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

In its infant period, this college got fame and name in the whole area by establishing glory and new records in educational and co-curricular areas.

College has its own huge building and play ground. Except class-rooms, there are Computer-lab and Science labs in the college. A good facility of electricity and water supply is arranged by the college comitee. the college compound is surrounded by high four wall without pollution and fragrance of different kind of flowers in the college garden makes the atmosphere scented.

Degree classes were started in Arts in July 2003. In July 2010 the first year of Science was also started. In July 2011 the first year of Commerce and the college became a full-fledged degree college having all the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. From Session 2006 P.G. course started.
